Had it not been for the financial support granted to the Subcarpathian Museum in Krosno by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism within the project entitled ‘The Carpathian Troy Open-Air Museum at Trzcinica – a Regional Tourist Attraction’, the complex would have never been built. The construction works started in October 2007 and were completed in two-years’ time. The costs of the works amounted 11 million PLN, and the overall cost of the project was over 12 million PLN. The financial support awarded by the EEA amounted 1,747,086 Euros. The remaining part of the cost was covered by the Voivodeship Marshal’s Office in Rzeszów and local authorities.
